Dr. Wang is a renowned expert in clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics with over 20 years of industry experience at leading biopharmaceutical companies. He is a cofounder, CEO and Board Chairman of Amador Bioscience, a translational and clinical research organization facilitating the development of novel biotherapeutics in China, USA and EU. While working at AstraZeneca (2006-2017), Dr Wang established and led the clinical pharmacology and pharmacometrics function for biopharmaceutical development. He had attended AstraZeneca’s Science Leadership Forums, invited former FDA CDER Director Dr. Carl Peck to the company annual meeting, and co-hosted/presented to senior management (CEO, R&D President and Exec/Sr VPs). Dr Wang had represented clinical pharmacology in AstraZeneca’s Global Product Teams and participated in global health authority meetings. In recognition of his substantial contributions to the R&D portfolio, Dr. Wang had received multiple company awards including two AstraZeneca CEO Awards and multiple Global Excellence Awards. Prior to joining AstraZeneca, Dr. Wang worked in the PKDM department of Amgen (1999-2004) and Clinical Pharmacology group of Abgenix (2004-2006). Dr. Wang had led multidisciplinary project teams in hematology, oncology, pulmonary disease and RIA, and contributed to dozens of global IND and CTD filings of small molecules, recombinant proteins, therapeutic mAbs, immunotoxin, ADCs and bi-specifics. He was an invited speaker at numerous international conferences, chaired symposiums/workshops at ASCPT and AAPS, and represented CPTR Section in AAPS and NBC Programming/Oversight Committees. Dr. Wang was an invited instructor of CCDRS, Peking University Health Science Center. Before establishing Amador Bioscience, he initiated and led AstraZeneca-Johns Hopkins University collaboration on systems pharmacology of immune-oncology products. He chaired a special program on the clinical pharmacology of immune-oncology products at 2017 AAPS Annual Meeting, with distinguished speakers from the FDA, Merck, Pfizer, AstraZeneca, Genentech and Johns Hopkins University. In addition to several dozens of study reports and regulatory submission packages, Dr.Wang has approximately 100 published abstracts and manuscripts, and is a co-inventor of 12 patents. Dr. Wang graduated from University of Science and Technology of China in 1994, and received his PhD in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1999 from University of Nebraska Medical Center under the mentorship of Dr. Thomas M Ludden, former OCP Director of the FDA. As the project team leader of romiplostim, Dr. Wang was previously selected by Amgen to participate in the Leadership Development Program (LDP®) organized by Center for Creative Leadership.
