Professor of Pharmacology, and Director of Ph. D in college of Pharmacy, China Pharmaceutical University, China. Liu is the Standing Committee  of the Drug Metabolism Professional Commission (CSSX) of the Chinese Pharmacological Society and the Quantitative Pharmacology Professional  Committee.
Liu was also training candidate for Innovation Project of JiangSu Province, Jiangsu Province "333" project(2nd) and Outstanding Technology Innovation Team Leader of Jiangsu Higher Education Institutions. Liu enjoys the special allowance of the State Council.
Liu’s research focuses on the pharmacokinetics in new chemical entities, ABC transporter and blood brain barrier, drug-drug interaction. PBPK and effects of diseases on CYP450s/drug transporters. Liu has charged ten items for the National Natural Sciences Foundation of China. 
He has published over 170 papers in these fields(140 papers collected in SCI)  and in-chief edited 2 textbooks and 2 academic monographs.
Liu has received the Second Reward of National Science and Technology Progress (No 2) in 2007, the First Reward of Jiangsu Province Science and Technology Progress (No 2) in 2004 and the Second Reward of the education ministry prize for Progress in science and technology(No1) in 2023.
中国药科大学二级教授，博士生导师。中国药理学定量药理学会常务委员和药物代谢动力学专业委员会常务委员。
江苏省青蓝工程跨世纪省级学术带头人培养对象，省“333”工程培养对象(第二层次)，江苏高等学校优秀科技创新团队带头人，享受国务院政府特殊津贴。
从事新药物代谢动力学，ABC转运体与血脑屏障，药物相互作用，PBPK及其疾病与转运体/代谢酶等研究。主持10项国家自然科学基金项目。
发表SCI论文170余篇，其中SCI收录140篇。主编出版教材2本和专著2部。
2007年国家科学技术进步二等奖(排2)，2004年获得江苏省科学技术进步一等奖(排2)和2023年教育部高等学校科学研究优秀成果奖（科学技术）二等奖(排1)。
