Chuanpu Hu, PhD, is currently Senior Director at Clinical Pharmacology Pharmacometrics Disposition & Bioanalysis, Bristol Myers Squibb, USA. Previously, he was Senior Scientific Director and Fellow at Clinical Pharmacology and Pharmacometrics, Johnson & Johnson. He obtained his PhD in Operations Research and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical pharmacology research at Stanford University. His career began as a statistical reviewer at Office of Biostatistics, FDA in 1996. Subsequently, he has worked in Consulting, Pharsight Corp.; Clinical Pharmacokinetics, GlaxoSmithKline; Biostatistics, Sanofi; and, before joining Centocor, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, in 2007. His main research interest is in pharmacometrics methodology development to enable parsimonious predictive PK/PD modeling for the purpose of guiding clinical dosing regimen decisions.
